  • Competitive Edge

"With the help of SBDC business student interns and the other resources that the SBDC provided, I was able to see what my competition was doing, what the standard expectations of my industry are and where I need to be to have the competitive edge." -  Cheryl Sment of Interstate Sealant & Concrete Inc.

  • Eye Opener

"The Business Plan Boot Camp was a real eye-opener in terms of letting you know that you can't just turn the key and go." - Roy Magsamen, RM Small Engine Repair, LLC
  • Future Development

“Bud helped me get my financials into a pro forma that I could use to get financing for the capital equipment I needed for my business. He has been very influential as far as introducing me to potential customers and government entities." - Dr. William Hubbard founder of Cytophil, a medical device development and manufacturing company

  • Results

"Our company is very pleased and excited with the results. It’s even more exciting to see an increase in our revenue stream. It couldn’t have come at a better time. For 20 years, I did not know about the SBDC. I want other Wisconsin businesses to know about and take advantage of this great resource.”

Director, Ronald "Bud" Gayhart

As the Director of the Center for Innovation and Business Development, Bud Gayhart oversees the UW-Whitewater Small Business Development Center and the Wisconsin Innovation Service Center. With his experience in economic development, Bud has become a key participant in ongoing efforts to strengthen regional businesses.
